These magazine spreads were designed to be entered into the 2022 SPD magazine design contest. The spreads are styled around Tyler, the Creator in the fashion/lifestyle category. Patterns, textures, colors, logos, and photographs were collected and curated to reflect the profound creative nature of the artist Tyler, the Creator. Bits and pieces of his life surround the articles about his journey.
The spreads feature photographs of products from GOLF le FLEUR*, Tyler's apparel brand. Some items are made to look like they are coming off the page, and some just blend into the background. Drop shadows and transparencies make the design resemble a scrapbook or journal. Large drop-caps set the scene for the article that follows, whereas handwritten type feels intimate and personal.
